Most of my close friends know that I love smooth jazz. I grew up in the 70's... listening to Lee Ritenour, Larry Carlton... etc. This kind of music also influenced my guitar playing... and, let me first admit... I am not a jazzer. In fact I have no idea what I am doing, but... I let my heart lead the way. Hopefully that fits with what is happening musically in this song.

Free Yourself is about taking a moment to step away from the burden and pressures of life... and, simply enjoying the moment. Even something as simple as a sunset. Life is a gift... let's cherish the moments!
